Speechless Sunday: Dallas, a Juxtaposition

Sometimes if you're distracted, you'll miss out on hidden beauty. I was recently at the Dallas Arboretum for an exhibit by the renowned artist, Dale Chihuly. The artwork, which was brilliantly displayed amongst the flora and fauna of the Dallas Arboretum, was truly a sight to behold, but as I turned away for a moment, I spotted this view of downtown Dallas across White Rock Lake. It reminded me of how special Dallas is in its balance of urban and non-urban areas in such close proximity to one another. Truly a special city and a special juxtaposition!

SPEECHLESS SUNDAY: Feeling Thairrific in Dallas!

This week marks the grand opening of my friends' latest restaurant venture... Thairrific. A full service Thai Restaurant located at 4000 Cedar Spring Boulevard (@Throckmorton) in Dallas. I have been over there for the past few evenings helping them (and eating) and I have to say that I predict an overwhelming response. They are now open from 11:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. Sunday through Thursday and 11:00 A.M. to 11:00 P.M. on Fridays and Saturdays.

I'll be posting a full (albeit slightly biased) review later in the week, but if you feel like great Thai using fresh ingredients and where every dish is prepared to order don't wait for the review, come check it out. I think you'll count Thairrific as a great new discovery!
